There are some talents that run in a family. Tim Jones, owner/founder of T. Russell Jones, grew up with a father and grandfather who were both carpenters.

"I came up through the trades. But my father wanted me to have a better life and saw to it that I graduated from college," recalls Jones. "My dad also instilled a strong work ethic in us and so I paid my way through college (Fresno State) by swinging a hammer."

After graduation and a few career diversions, Tim returned to his true calling: making saw dust. "When you get it exactly right, it's very satisfying. Windows and doors are the jewelry of an historic or distinctive home, and we love to bring a home up to its' full potential."

Company Growth

In 1997 T. Russell Jones Construction was founded as a licensed window, door and skylight installation firm serving the entire East Bay area. Business soon became brisk and Tim's one-man show needed to grow.

"It was becoming nearly impossible to return phone calls and keep up with the business side of the business." I needed a partner that I could trust."

Elaine Jones, Tim's wife, began to work up estimates and write contracts. Her intuition for design and attention to detail eventually led to a larger role in the company. Today Elaine manages the office, orders material, interfaces with customers and vendors; the short story is that Elaine has grown to love the window business. Officially incorporated in 2005, Tim now devotes his energy to managing the installation of windows, doors and skylights.

Residential and Commercial Services

T. Russell Jones serves residential clients as well as commercial property managers. Elaine and Tim are proud to bring their unmatched professionalism and high standards to each project.
